I'm curious because almost every Shocker that's come through my hands has had a broken upper board. Is this just from user error or do they just break every so often?

Iv'e seen brand new upper boards break when people were too rough with them, so I wonder if its all user error or if the board really do break all the time.

And just for clarity, I'm talking about that little plastic on/off button, not the entire board.

I think it's mostly happened because the previous owners messed around with their gripframes. I haven't had one single issue with mine once I had the new board installed; but they've all pretty much been broken out of the box.

never broken one.

Had to replace them on the shockers I have bought though

once on my nerve...i tightened the screws for my grips to tight like an idiot Neutral replaced it tho for free.now i run thick grips to keep from having issues like that again.

Ive never done it myself but Ive fixed countless ones for other people.
The most common reason it happens is from dummies not pulling down the wire harness after reinstalling the grip frame then they press the acctuator button and either snap off the little gray nub on the button or the whole button just falls apart.
